Department engaged in extension
activities which are unique in nature. It is comprise of the
following.
CONSUMER GUIDANCE CELL :- The
information in the form of magazines, Books, CD’s are available with
the department. The counseling and guidance are offered to the
consumers on various issues, free of cost. Also department
regularly organize the consumer awareness exhibitions, workshops,
talks, seminars etc.
MANAGERIAL SKILLS ENHANCEMENT AND COUNSELLING CELL:- Students use these services
offered by the Department to shape
their overall personality, improve on communication skills and with career planning & development. The Department takes utmost
care of students by providing wider perspective of concepts, policies and techniques applicable for efficient as well as effective
management. The department is highly involved in developing communication and interpersonal skills of budding managers which are urgent requirements
for contemparary management practices.The department focus on familarising students in applying management tools in practice and to import necessary managerial skills.
INDUSTRY-INSTITUTE INTERACTION:-The Business firms, companies and Professionals have
constant interaction with the department through the seminars, workshops, guest lectures, etc. The students also undertake field visits, research work, surveys for this purpose. The eminent entrepreneurs and businessmen regularly visit and are in touch with department. The department successfully organized various programmes and activities such as national seminar on commerce education with local C.A. association , interactive seminars with local industrial & business associations, participation in Advantage Amravati 2006 -07, a develomental, industrial move for Amravati region, Students carried out survey for eminent companies like Marico Industries Ltd., Satyam Foundation New Delhi, ACC LTD., during 2006-07 and some others are underway and under consideration.
MBees ASSOCIATION:- It is an association of existing students particularly focused on students overall development of students under the guidance of faculty. It gives them an experience of handling various situations in reality.
SOCIETY-INSTITUTE INTERFACE:- The Department has very good interaction with society. A high participation of the department in socio-economic and industrial development has given social face.
PARENTS-TEACHER MEETING/INTERACTION:-The department has developed platform for regular interaction with parents resulted into frequent meetings of parents and teacher. Very soon
parent-teacher association will be a registered body.
ALUMNI :- A students of this department have been highly successful in business, industries as well in academics throughout the country.
Alumni is a source of strength and inspiration to the department and its students.Alumni will be a registered body of association of past students very soon.
