Internet access centre for Teachers, students and Employees. Connectivity of BB VSAT of 256 KBPS from U.G.C.Infonet (ERNET, New Delhi) is provided in the campus wide network which facilitates access of peer review journals to the research students, post graduate students and teachers. Also, connectivity of 2 MBPS Broad Band (BSNL) is provided in the Campus Wide Network.

Present Project undertaken
Extension of Campus Wide Networking is in progress. The latest technology Wi-Max is used to connect the departments/ sections with the existing FOC Network. The Library building and Administrative Building will be made Wi-Fi zones. The multiplay network i.e. Video On Demand (VOD) will be configured at four locations in the campus. All above work is in progress under the Next Generation University Project. For this project following grants from funding agencies are utilized :

Direction, Co-ordination and Reporting
The Powers and Procedures of Academic Services Unit as approved by Management Council are:
1. The Committee shall meet at least twice a year, and may dispose of its business by meeting or correspondence or by both if necessary.
2. The agenda shall be dispatched seven clear days before the date of the meeting.
3. The Chairman of the Committee shall have the power to convene any special meeting of the Committee, if required.
4. Not less than fifteen days notice of a meeting shall be given, provided that the Vice-Chancellor may by his order, reduce the period of notice, if in his opinion, the circumstances so require,
5. The hours of the meeting shall be fixed by the Chairman.
6. In the absence of the Chairman of the Committee, the members present shall elect a Working Chairman from amongst themselves:
7. All questions coming up or arising before the meeting shall be decided by the majority of such members as are present and vote there at. In case of equal votes, the Chairman shall have a casting vote.
8. A meeting may be adjourned to the next day in order to complete unfinished business. No notice of such adjournment to the next day shall be sent to any members. At the adjourn meeting no quorum shall be necessary.
9. The Committee for Academic Services Unit (A.S.U.) shall have the following powers :-
a) To prepare apian for the working of the A.S.U. &will implement the work according to the plan.
b) To submit the proposal to the Management Council to equip the A.S.U. with the modern equipments and machinery so that the work of the Academic & Administration will be carried according to the plan.
c) To recommend the quality of the equipment with its specifications ,to be purchased for the A.S.U.
d) To recommend the Agency for the Annual Maintenance Contract of the equipments and machinery for the A.S.U.
e) To recommend the Budget Plan for the purchase and maintenance of the equipments, machinery, stationary & other Consumables.
f) To decide the life span of the equipments and machinery & their disposal.
g) To prescribe the powers & duties of the staff of the A.S.U. from time to time.
h) To recommend the manpower for the A.S.U. as required.
The minutes of the Committee shall be signed by the Chairman and the Secretary.
Secretarial Assistance shall be provided by the University.
Copies of the minutes shall be circulated to the members within a month after the Chairman's approval.
